Crocodiles have existed for 220 million years and they have fascinated mankind since the dawn of time. Honoured like Gods in ancient Egypt or venerated like guardian angels in Burkino Faso, they are nevertheless more commonly known to be awesome predators. Hidden amongst the tropical vegetation of Latin America's vast wetlands, or in the swamps of Africa or the marshlands of Florida, the crocodiles keep watch. But these ferocious reptiles also make wonderful parents and form real social links amongst themselves. Nowadays, they live in fear and from now on the danger is a human one.
